Central Statistics Office
The Central Statistics Office (CSO) is Ireland’s national statistical office and is responsible for the collection, compilation and dissemination of all statistical information relating to economic, social and general life in Ireland. Despite CSO's important national role they had no brand presence or recognition and were in need of a complete rebranding.
The new CSO logo mark was created by combining the graphic elements of a percentage symbol, the initials CSO and a Celtic knot. The percentage symbol represents the statistical work and insight through data that the CSO provides while the Celtic knot represents CSO’s commitment to serve as the safe guardians of Ireland’s memory. For this project I designed the new CSO logo and visual identity and produced an extensive brand guidelines document including numerous brand applications and templates. As the creative lead I also worked closely with CSO's internal design team on the new brand launch and website redesign. This project was completed by me while working with the team at Wonder Works.
